I was pleasantly surprised by the great experience at Apothecarium. Very LGBTQ friendly, aesthetically beautiful space, diverse clientele. Because of the high end branding, I assumed the space might be sterile and unfriendly, but quite the opposite! I liked the menu with clear information on various products available to browse while you wait in a well-appointed seating area. We didn't wait longer than 5 minutes on a busy Friday afternoon. I like full sun, sustainably grown flower, and they carry Flow Kana products, my fave! We knew what we wanted but other guests were getting great customer service, explanations, and support choosing products. Great experience!

Apothecarium is basically like a home to me lol , the staff are extraordinary people and they’re super outgoing! They know their facts and if you can explain the type of high you want to feel they’ll recommend only the best. I’ve made a couple of friends from here and they’re honestly really chill and super nice. I love the staff I love the Cannabis, edibles, gummy’s, and medications. Simply Apothecarium will always be the best 100% This will always be my TOP #1 Favorite clinic 💋

I came in looking for a portable vaporizer cartridge. I ended up buying a few cartridges but they didn't work correctly on my device. The refund was really simple, though.
The initial sign-up was easy. The staff is incredibly nice. The first bud-tender I met (man, I suck with names.. I think her name was Kelly?) was the nicest bud-tender I've encountered at any dispensary. I want to be her friend!
Their menu is slick and easy to read (they give you a menu like a restaurant). The atmosphere is top notch. They work with you one on one to help you pick your meds, too. I heard another guy there order like $8 worth of bud after about 10 minutes of discussion, and the bud-tender was totally happy to help him. I think I'd be irritated if I only sold $8 worth after all that effort, but he seemed legitimately happy to be helping. Good stuff!
I haven't tried their bud, but I'd be willing to bet it's top notch. Bad bud just wouldn't fit in at this place. They've obviously put a lot of effort into setting up a high quality dispensary.
I'll be visiting again if I decide to turn back to combustion. If they sold iVapor or Omicron supplies I'd make them my regular stop just because I like the staff so much.
If the bud-tender I first met sees this, she can feel free to message me. (Kelly? lol dammit! Sorry! I was the dude in the hoodie and black beanie, if she remembers) I owe her a joint!

Dude, this is pretty much the only place i've found in the city that carries the infamous (and super well priced) Gentleman's THC STICK that you find all over So. Cal. and LA. Great hash selection and prices too with a really knowledgable staff. Def worth stopping by and enjoying the nice atmosphere. and If you're like me, and you work a 9-5 job and need to medicate discreetly. This is the spot. get a THC STICK. its an E-cig loaded with THC. I love this place.

I don't even really know where to begin...... but let me start by saying this place is just plain awesome!! They have a great selection of buds ranging from low to high prices, their cheaper buds are great and their higher-end buds are out of this world. Blackberry kush melted my face. Their edible selection is probably the best in the city, icecreams, cakes, even pizza! If 4 dose edibles don't phase you, feel free to try their 20 dose brownie or 40 dose cake! The staff is almost as good as the bud, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, but one of my favorite things is the fact that they weigh everything in front of you (please believe me when I say, you'll never be disappointed). This is a new club and its one of my favorites, i highly recommend that you stop by this one if you're in the area!!!

Everything we bought there was great and well worth it. Friendly staff greeted us at the check in and we were walked through our entire experience and had all of our questions answered. We will go back and i will recommend anybody looking for a wide range of products to do the same.

Elegant welcoming store, w/ exceptional staff
The store is beautifully designed & unlike most dispensaries. It looks like a high end clothing or cosmetics store. The products are discretely & tastefully displayed. All of the staff are friendly & welcoming. I have never tried any cannabis products before, but was eager to learn what was available to reduce stress & improve my sleep. The budtender listened patiently to my questions, was extremely knowledgeable, & recommended a tincture with just the right mix of CBD/THC that worked great.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the cultivars available. They grow some very fire OG's themselves that are not only affordable but funky. I visited two days in a row and I can't call the ladies who helped me budtenders, this is more of a concierge type experience. It would have been nice to see their menu on WM but their house cultivars are super fire. Don't take it from me, visit them today.

The Apothecarium Castro is easily accessible by MUNI lines via Church St MUNI Metro Station (Lines K, L, M, and T). Streetcars F, J, and N stop. The 22 and 37 buses also have convenient stops.
Our closest BART stop is 16th St. Mission Station -- about a 15 minute walk. Alternatively, you can transfer from BART to MUNI at Embarcadero Station. See Google Map’s transit planner for more information.
Accessible parking is located on 14th St, just South of Market St.
History
The Apothecarium was founded by three first cousins and two family friends in San Francisco in 2011. We now have three dispensaries in San Francisco, and one in Las Vegas.
Here’s a quote from our founder about how it all started:
“Years ago I was standing in line at a dispensary, waiting behind a woman my grandmother’s age. Like me, she was there for a serious medical issue. But the people working there were unable to provide her the information she needed. That was my ‘lightbulb moment’ -- when I decided to create a dispensary where she could find quality cannabis and also the information and support she needed to use it safely and effectively, in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment.
Everything we do at The Apothecarium -- from the products we select, to the training our staff receive, to the way we design our dispensaries -- is intended to give her the experience she deserves. I know if we are
meeting her needs, then we are probably meeting the needs of everyone who comes through our doors.”
Now, our dispensaries are known internationally for emphasizing education and customer service for seniors, first-time dispensary visitors, and patients with serious medical conditions.
