So this was my second visit at zen leaf Roger’s park. The details in the deal says first, second, and third time customers receive the certain discount offered. Again this was only my second visit at this location. The manager was super rude about turning my discount down saying there’s too much history of past purchases with zen leaf to honor my discount. Yet all my history was at different locations. To add injury to insults he just abruptly stormed off and shut the door. The cashier helping went to ask him a few questions only to come back and say the discount was changed to all locations not per location on July 1 which just so happened to be the date of my first ever visit at this location zen leaf rogers park. No reason to be so short and rude about customer services especially to a long time customer/supporter

it a very welcoming and safe little dispensary. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and can make recommendations that so far have been spot on. The menu is very diverse and that variety has made them my favorite dispensary in the area. I would highly recommend folks to this dispensary.

Knowledgeable & Helpful Staff

I’m not one to make reviews but I would be remiss if I don’t do this one. My wife had trouble sleeping and doesn’t like to smoke so when I suggested she try a dispensary to see if they had anything to help her, she was reluctant but went. She has now been there a couple of times and says two guys there have really helped her, Sal and Zeek. I want to thank both of them for easing her mind and helping her choose edibles that help her so much. Great selections! I’m now a happier husband because my wife is getting sleep which helps her mood.

Julissa is very friendly and knowledgeable

It was the first time in a dispensary where I encountered a very friendly clerk with abundant knowledge. Her name is Julissa. I had a lot of questions to figure out the strain and the dosage for my issues. She was great at picking the right one for me. It is farther away, but I will return here for my medical marijuana needs. Thank you, Julissa; you should get a raise!

Other than one Barney Fife security guard who refuses to wear his mask properly and takes his job WAY too seriously, I’ve had nothing but great experiences at GreenGate. They may never sell Rec but that’s fine with me. As a Med only site, it isn’t as crowded as others and the staff (for the most part) know their weed. They do have a couple of new folks who are sort of “know-it-all’s” but in general, everyone is ready to help you get the best herb for your needs!

Just tell the truth about when you’re selling rec

Emailed them on 12/30 to ask if they’re selling rec on 1/1, they emailed me saying yes. I called them on 1/1 and got no answer. I saw on their twitter page the night of 12/31 they posted they’re opening 1/2 to sell rec. then I went a week later, and a cop outside tells me “they’re not selling rec until next week” I call a week later and they told me they “don’t know” when they’ll be selling rec and that hopefully by the “end of the month” — who knows if that’s even true.

They always have great deals. The staff (they have) is amazing. However, they only ever have two to three registers going. Ever. And honestly they are far too busy for this. It’s always a wait. And wait and wait. Some of us are stopping to grab something on a break. Waited over an hour, and all they could say to me was a shoulder shrug. Because apparently, unless you have a medical card you’re not important at this location. I suggest don’t go here if you’re looking for recreational at all.

They used to be awesome! GreenGate was the only Medical-Only dispensary on the north side of Chicago. I would go there all the time because the staff were amazing and the deals weren't bad. That changed when they got bought out by Verano in April 2021. If you're not aware, Verano is one of the "big guys" in the corporate cannabis business. Now they charge an extra tax for medical patients, with no forewarning. I always bring exact change, so when I found out my usual order was 3 dollars more, I had to use the ATM to withdraw more cash. Not really a big deal, but paying an extra ATM fee on top of that just felt a little annoying. It's a shame because they have one of the best budtenders in the city (shout-out to Dustin) and the rest of the staff was always really personable. I'll miss them! I have since switched to a different dispensary, and I don't regret it at all. It seems everything at GreenGate is just going more and more downhill as time goes on.

Staff is great but the prices along with the tax feels like a mix of being extorted and mugged. 30% tax on mid flower? +200$ an Oz of SHAKE?!? Miss me with that garbage. Dont come if youre from out of state. Awkward

Im no stranger to getting carded, but they card you every time and act like they have never been carded before. The experience is made doubly worse by the fact that they card you again at the counter. Needless to say, I am from out of state and have a Real ID but no matter how many times I have like 3-5 people check out my Id and other customers usually come in after me so this tiny waiting room gets crowded while people wait. Anyways, its also usually a different person who has carded me. I havent had a good or great experience yet.
