Because "law" requires you too?? I'm looking for a dispensary to give my business too and been reading some reviews and it just doesn't seem right to me.. and it looks like I'm not the only one that feels this way..

I am sorry you must have misunderstood the response. No we do not double dip. We charge 15% excise tax and 8.25% city tax. When you total that up it is 23.25%(15%+8.25%=23.25%). I am sorry you feel this way but it clearly states on your receipt the tax we charge.

My favorite place

I really enjoy this shop. I don’t know why there are this many bad reviews. I’ve been going for about 6 months and every time the staff has always been polite, friendly, and the guys in the back are extremely helpful and patient. I didn’t know a whole lot about cannabis when I first got my card, but I knew what I was interested in. They helped me find out what would work for me and have always helped when I’m looking for something different to try. I will keep coming for sure. There’s a lot of confusion regarding taxes. The taxes aren’t in place because that’s what the shop wants. The taxes are in place because that’s what Tulare requires. It’s no fault of their own. Anyway, great shop, great staff. Recommend it!

Taxes suck but the exereince is worth it.

I have been to a few dispensaries and lately most of them have and very little. When i came to this dispensary i was a little supersized by the taxes but once they explained the reasoning for them i understood. Lets just say i regret voting yes to legalizing cannabis.

I'm sad to see people leave reviews complaining about price and service. this is a business, like any other. they provide a very valuable service to our small, and sometimes small minded community. your attitude, as a patient, can also effect your experience. it is not fair to put all your expectations on the budtenders or the desk to "make you feel special". they are here to provide a service and they do it well. it's sad we live in such a sensitive, overly PC world, that people can complain about something, just for the sake of complaining. if you dont like it, go somewhere else. Top Notch, Big Selection, Accepts Credit Cards

I really appreciate this dispensary and how professional they are. I had a reliable store in Bakersfield for years and when Kern County closed them all up I had to find another reliable source. I just discovered this one today and I have found a new favorite. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and even take credit and atm cards. They have a huge selection of every form of cannibas. I will definitely be using them until Bakersfield allows medical dispensaries again.

They claim to be medical. Still want your Rec but want you to pay taxes . If that’s the case don’t ask for Recs. I’m from la and they way things are being done up here is a scam and a rip off. If you have a rec even if your over 21 there’s no tax no rec =tax. Stop ripping people off for your shit products . I’ll drive back and forth from la every time until something is changed

I’ve been coming to TARA for these past few weeks for my meds and I will definitely keep coming! They’re staff is very friendly, knowledgable and PATIENT! They have all the best name brand products and are always stocked. My personal favorite is the Medicated Slush Puppies they have! Hits the spot on these triple digit days with a nice fade 🤙🏼 yeah they do tax, and that’s probably the only down part of the shop but the few extra bucks doesn’t bother me so I give these guys 5 Stars! Professionals in the cannabis industry you can definitely trust!
