Mainely Mats | Lobster Line Dog Leash

Another one of our small locally owned brands in store for our dog lovers out there. These dog leashes are made of 100% recycled lobster rope from Maine and Massachusetts. Several years ago, federal regulations banned the use of "float rope" in an effort to protect North Atlantic right whales and other sea animals, that were entangled in the rope. Fisherman made the switch to "sink rope" which resulted in thousands of pounds of float rope potentially going to waste. Rather than occupying space in a landfill, we have taken this rope and repurposed it into beautiful handmade goods. These products are durable and last for years. Not only are they cute and stylish but you also help save the environment, with a portion of the money going to local animal rescue funds.
