It actually stands for Garlic Mushroom Onion, often referred to as Garlic Cookies; the reason being people didn’t want to smoke something that was named GMO. The name came about due to its intense garlic aroma and favorable growing characteristics.The strain also produces a unique funky gas-like musk taste and smell. GMO is a cross between Chemdawg D x GSC (Forum Cut). This unique multi-color flower shimmers with silver looking trichomes combined with a purple and green mixture that is truly spectacular. This cultivar was bred by Mamiko seeds, and the phenotype was hunted and selected by skunkmasterflex in Michigan.
