Product description
Weed kissed by fruit, not the other way around. Most of what passes for fruit-forward cannabis today forgot to taste like weed: Shishkaberry remembers where it came from. Bred in 1996 by Breeder Steve of Spice of Life Seeds, “Kish” is the third selection from Afghani landrace mothers crossed with DJ Short's Blueberry. Trace the roots far enough and you arrive at the ancient Kush mountains (where cannabis existed before it was ever bred). We think it’s about as close to a full-blooded indica as the modern market offers. The buds are dense and ace-shaped, with trichomes casting a silver-blue sheen over light green into soft lavender at finish. The flavor hits full-frontal: what we call “Afghani twang” (earthy and resinous) meets a mixed berry bouquet. Effects lean heavy body: relaxing, sleep-friendly. Kish tests high in CBG, a cannabinoid tied to focus, which gives the experience more clarity than a near-full-blooded indica usually carries. All that with a smooth and meditative finish that doesn't rush anywhere.

About this strain: Shishkaberry
Shishkaberry, also known as Shiskaberry or just Kish, has been attributed to several breeders, including Barney’s Farm and Spice of Life. Despite its mysterious origins, most sources agree that Shishkaberry is a cross between Blueberry (possibly DJ Short’s) and an Afghan indica. Shishkaberry is a renowned favorite of cannabis consumers, carrying what is often described as earthy, sweet, berry flavor profile.
Shishkaberry won second place in Indica Seeds at the 2001 High Times’ Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.
