Skunk #1 Clone (Afghani x Acapulco Gold x Colombian) Flowering Time 9-10 Weeks Skunk #1 is a well-known and much-appreciated hybrid strain that has become a very common parent strain to many other favorites. This legend of a strain was first released in the late 1970’s by Sacred Seed Co. and has since risen to fame, garnering attention and respect all over the world. This hybrid was created by crossing an Afghani indica with sativas Acapulco Gold and Colombian Gold, resulting in a pungent and potent strain that leans on its indica traits. Skunk #1 provides a well-balanced set of effects, creating a creative and soothing mind and body high. At the center of cannabis cultivars, internationally is the Skunk. Bred by Skunk Man Sam, later identified as David Watson, the Skunk is the most prolific cannabis variety in history. First bred in the 70s in Santa Cruz by combing Acapulco Gold X Columbian Gold X Afgani, the original Skunk was born and began to trade in the hippie hands. Named after its own description of the then unknown thiol volatile sulfur compounds which define both the mammalian bio-discharge and cannabis skunky aromatic experience. Distributed under the name Sacred Seeds, the Skunk began define the drug trade cannabis movement as a recognizable strain to ask for by name. It is often the self righteous who cast the first stone. In the case of Skunk Man Sam, the Southern Humboldt born native who raised earth in Miranda made the journey to Amsterdam, leaving behind California and never returned to his country of origin. Thanks to Ryan Lee, protégé to David, David was able to give origin to the breeding of the Skunk. From his bed in Holland, David gave interview and blessing to the Humboldt Legacy Skunk project. His post humous return to California by way of his cremated remains have been placed in the the hands of many skilled breeders, preservations, and adorning peers including Etienne of the Berkeley Patient Group, Kevin Jodrey, Ryan Lee, Lele Dubois, and Daniel of HENDRX.
