My partner and I recently moved back to WA from CA where I left my wonderful dispensary in Berkeley behind. We live on the island and we had been told that this was a great place to go and that the staff was great, and after our first visit I disagree. The first time we went in we were immediately cornered by this staff member who just wanted to talk about legalization, which is great but we already are pretty well informed when it comes to the current politics around weed, and anytime we tried to get a word in they would just talk over us. Eventually we were able to escape them to look around the shop when another staff member found us, when we were trying to decide on different products they were super helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about. We ended up leaving with some bud and what we thought was an edible and went home. The weed we bought was fine, it was the White Widow CBD Hybrid, nothing special, but it made me a little more paranoid then most CBD Hybrid strains do. Now comes to horror story, we both didn't feel like vaping and so we ate a tiny bit of this resin type of edible that the second staff member had sold to us, when he was talking about it he seemed pretty confident in what it was and how to use it so we took it home. After we had a little bit of it something didn't feel right, my stomach started burning and was cramping up, I decided to take a closer look at the packaging and that's when I saw that it actually was a topical. I immediately forced myself to puke but my stomach continued to burn for a few hours. Yes, we should have payed closer attention to the packaging, but when someone who works at a dispensary tells you that something is an edible you believe them. All that being said the store is nice, they have a good variety of things, and now anytime I go in I know from the start what I want and I'm in and out in a few minutes. Just a word to the wise, don't believe the staff members, do your research before you go in and only get what you intended on buying in there.

P&L product is solid on average, however I have encountered very few strains at this shop I would classify as premium in quality, even after seeking recommendations from staff. Strains are generally good to very good. My chief issue with P&L is the customer service. I have visited the shop five times, and on 4 out of 5 visits I was summarily ignored in favor of a familiar face. It is a strange feeling to have someone assisting you, and suddenly they turn away, greet a newly arriving customer by name, begin assisting them as if you aren't even there. I was actually midway through my order on the last visit when the service person turned away and started helping 'Bob' or 'Joe' or someone they knew personally who had just walked in the door. I sat down at the table and waited for 5 minutes until the staff member finished up with familiar faces, noticed me, and let me check out and go home. I understand the desire to maintain excellent relations with your loyal customers, but to abruptly blow off unfamiliar customers in order to do so is rude and inconsiderate. To be honest, I was pretty shocked the familiar customers accepted this treatment as status quo. If I was in their shoes, I would say something like 'no, please finish with this customer, you were obviously helping them already' and wait my turn. I am new to the area, so maybe this is a cultural thing, but yikes - you could at least try to be a bit more subtle about your selective customer service.

If Xanadu had a pot shop, this would be it.
Being confined to one store has never been more of a delight. The anticipation of heading here rivals your birthday. The point is: there's no place I'd rather be next to. The selection is so dense it runs the possibility of a history lesson and may even bless you with a sense of passion. If you don't know what you want or need, one of the friendliest people will be in arms reach and you SHALL be satisfied...After being up and down this coast my whole life...I've found the best here. Howboutchya...
