Don’t try to find too much meaning in the name. X isn’t meant to be a roman numeral. It’s not an allusion to adult films. It has nothing to do with how illiterates sign their checks. It all started when we were messing with this one cut that was just labelled with a big ‘X’ in black sharpie. Those in the know quickly became fans. And fans started calling it GelatoX. But soon it became just X. Why? Maybe to save time. Because you don’t want to have to wait for this smooth, fruit, candy, middle-of-the-day smoke.
