Once the plants have reached optimal ripeness we harvest them and the preparation for hash making begins. Each plant is meticulously broken down removing any non cannabinoid containing material like water leaves or stems. The material is then placed in freezer seal bags where all air is removed to prevent oxidation and it is frozen to -10 c to prepare it for extraction.Rosin ProcedureAt IC Collective we take every extra step to preserve and protect the cannabis through the rosin making process. This starts with a custom-made room that’s basically a giant refrigerator where all of the washing and handling of the hash takes place. This ensure the trichomes are never exposed to heat of any kind during the extraction process. The hash is then dried in scientific freeze dryers to preserve the strain specific flavors in the material. Once the hash has had all water removed it is then pressed under tight filterbags at low temperatures to remove impurities and concentrate cannabinoids and aromatic compounds. The final step is a room temperature cure and whip before its packaged by our team and sent across the state.
