In 2014, in a garage in San Francisco's Sunset District, Mario Guzman crossed the Sunset Sherbet he had bred two years earlier onto Thin Mint Cookies. Four keepers came out of that population, and much of the dessert cannabis that followed traces back through them. Those numbered selections are still what the line gets judged by, Gelato 41 among them. Aroma runs dessert-first across the Gelato family: sweet cream and berry, a lift of citrus, mint and soft dough underneath, and a peppery, earthy edge as it breaks apart. Commonly described as relaxed and easy company, which is the hybrid character the Gelato name was built on. The last bowl out of the bag is as good as the first.
