Product is quality. Location is great. Staff are very helpful. The displays are top notch. I love the 10% discount for Medical Card holders. Long story short, I will definitely be back.
I love the inviting decor and friendly staff. Each visit we have received excellent service. Flower is always fresh and their prerolls are spot on, with the added bonus of a huge selection of edibles.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. She had an answer for every question and even informed us on the deli-style pricing. However, I've been to a few dispensaries and this is the first one that doesn't have a waiting room type set-up...not 100% sure how much I like that. It's nice to have a little privacy and I feel that it offers much more security when purchasing. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker though, the product was GREAT! Can't wait to try my Big Mama Herijuana preroll.
Green Jar offers an innovative deli style system that allows you to choose how much bud you would like to purchase based off a specific dollar amount. For example, if you only wanted to spend $40 in total, including rolling papers, you can tell the budtender to weigh out $38 worth of marijuana and purchase a pack of rolling papers for $2. You can also choose any combination of buds you like.
This deli style system implies that the marijuana is not pre packaged. I enjoy this type of storage because it ensures the weed that you desired will be fresh.
The store is very clean, organized, and cozy. Easy location to spot from the highway. Staff provides excellent customer service. Prices are on par with stores in Anchorage. Prices and availability of their products are updated frequently on WeedMaps.
In short, this store in top notch in my opinion, and similar to fine wine, I believe they will get even better over time.
The staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. They had a great variety of product and reasonable prices! I will be going back.
Came in to check out this place and pick up some vapes and buds. I had the exact amount, per weedmaps. Online they had listed price and would not honor it, instead the went and "adjusted" the price online. Totally not cool. Actually I don't think a store has EVER not honored their listed price. "There's an ATM" was the response I got. No discount for disabled or people on ssdi. I get that it's new, but overcharging is not the way to go. Probably won't be coming back if I can't trust their posted price. I suggest making the drive into town. I was planning on buying 5 and some buds, but the way that was handled I just took one to carry me over and left. What's that line in Pretty Women? " Big mistake, Big!"
I remember specifically when you came in, and I want to thank you for your review and apologize for my mistake!
When you came in and asked about the vape cartridges, I looked at our Weedmaps menu, then informed you that there was a typo on our menu. I agreed with you that the menu said the cartridges were listed as $70 online when they are actually $85. It wasn't until later that evening that another employee pointed out that I had misread the menu as well, and that the Kimbo Kush Shatter was listed at $70, and the vape cartridges were listed at $85 the whole time. I realize now how easy it is to make a mistake with our menu, and I am so sorry for that confusion.
If you ever feel like there is a discrepancy between our advertised price and our actual price please let us know! We will pull up our online menu and if there is any difference we will happily honor it!
We are a local business that truly cares about our community and strives to provide our customers with safe, friendly, and reliable access to cannabis. We are passionate about helping people and would love the chance to speak with you again at the store and show you that we operate with high standards. Thank you again for writing a review that allows us to improve!

As Green Jar was the first store to be licensed and operating in the Mat Su Valley, we weren't sure what to expect. What we found was a neat and well organized shop with educated and enthusiastic staff. In our two visits since they have been opened, we have learned quite a bit. Their inventory and hours of operation, as well as upcoming products are listed on their Facebook page and their website. As the local industry grows, I think Green Jar will keep its many customers satisfied.

Stopped in today, finally. Was greeted by 3 engaging and knowledgeable staff members - all ladies. Loved seeing women in the industry represented locally. Am presently smoking Poison Girl #5, which was recommended to me by today's staff due to 1:1 THC/CBD (I am recovering from cancer and the after-effects of radiation and chemo). It is WONDERFUL. It's helped my neuropathy so much and I'm so chill - not couch locked, just calm and literary feeling no pain ! See you again soon... thanks for being an excellent source for CBD RICH STRAINS!
Nice shop, but limited variety and higher priced than others in the Valley. Decent quality, but better stuff can be found just down the road in Wasilla.

Nice staff and nice selection. Everyone seems to be so happy .... can't imagine why?!?! =P High prices on glass and only had 2 selections of flower. Wish edible prices would go down. Nice atmosphere.
