After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles for a career in finance, but cannabis remained his true passion. In 2011, he applied for a dispensary license in DC, only to be denied because of a prior felony cannabis conviction. The same plant that had shaped his life was now the reason he couldn’t legally participate in the industry.
