Mounted Three-Colored Starling

Recently mounted tricolor starling (Lamprotornis superbus) on a natural wooden postament.

This North-Eastern African bird immediately stands out because of its dark green metallic back and chestnut red breast.

Due to their beautiful colors and not very shy character, they are also popular although noisy aviary birds.

This bird came from an aviary, where it died of natural causes.
