I like this place better than Blum and BPG. I'm biased because it's a close walk to my place, but in terms of overall experience -- I'd place this one as my 2nd best within the Berkeley/Oakland market. I like Telegraph Health Center a bit better.
- Big inside, nice atmosphere
- Budtenders usually really nice
- Free Otter Pops
- Good area, by the Berkeley Bowl
- Low priced concentrates often indica only. I'd like to seem some variety. Dispensaries down the street have the same extract makers and a wider variety of products from them.
- Long lines sometimes. That's to be expected. There is an express lane if you know exactly what you want that is credit/cash only.
Their 4/20 ad wasn't as shown in store either. Not too happy about that. Overall, I have some gripes but I like the place overall. Solid 4 star place.
I wish they'd update their menu online. I try to plan ahead then go in and it's completely different.
I've been a patient at CBCB for many many years now. I've appreciated the selection and thought up until now they carried clean mid-high-grade medicine. I bought a 1/2 oz special a few days ago, and it gave me terrible migraines. In the last 20 years I have never had migraines from herb. When I went to the dispensary to explain what happened the manager acted like it was my fault and tried to blame it on being a sativa strain or my own personal chemicals. What! I've been smoking sativa strains for decades. My guess is the herb had mold and wasn't properly tested or checked. But instead of them showing the compassion they claim to have for their patients, this manager acted like I was at a walgreens, and felt she was doing a good job by giving me my $ back. C'mon CBCB, as a patient for over 5 years I expect better than that. You refunding me my money doesn't make up for the pain your herbs gave me. And for everyone else, really check out the herb you're buying here. I'd hate for you to end up spending your time smoking headache herb like I did. I trusted CBCB to help ease illness not add to it.
Jesus Christ, this place is falling off and getting worse day by day. On numerous occasions I've gone and had a bud tender that's too baked to do their job and can't remember what I asked by the time they get to the bud on the other side of the room.
Today was the final straw. Every time I buy extracts from them I question the grams. Today I weighed it before breaking into it and it weighed .7 instead of a gram like a paid for. Fuck that. What is this my first high school connect? Fuck no. I go to the club so I don't have to worry about being ripped off by sketch balls on the street and guess what?! They're ripping you off inside as well!
Their prices vary from $15/8th-$60ish/8th however their quality is always lacking.
$15/8th is stemmy popcorn buds of someone's harvests from 2 seasons before.
$25-40/8th is usually light dep or outdoor that's smokable
Their top shelf I buy from time to time and regret it every single time. I bought some 28% thc OG that was $60/8th and it fell flat. I've smoked many better $35/8ths.
All in all look elsewhere. Cbcb is ripping of their customers. Check the weight on the scale every time.
My favorite club in berkely and i won the raffle on 4/20 great basket great staff loving coming there has the best buds that i have smoked
Awesome live music everytime I've gone!
Very friendly staff from the tenders to the (much appreciated) security guards, good location only 5 minutes from the freeway, parking can be a slight pain. They always have value-oriented options which I really appreciate. Everything is tested there are always bargains to be had. Sometimes even the moderately priced concentrates come in a beautiful glass container, which I really appreciate. While it's no longer a smoking club, you can still sit down and relax and listen to some great music.
I have literally ONE complaint. Management, please, buy some air conditioning for your customers this year, and more importantly, for your poor staff who have to work for hours on end. It's freaking HOT in there and it was only about 80F ambient temperature tonight, probably almost 90f inside.
I consider myself a bit of a snob and connoisseur when it comes to pre-rolls. Most outfits that make and sell pre-rolls fill them with trim and try to pass them on as top shelf flower... after trying so many different kinds I had become cynical towards any such claims. But I walked into CBCB the other day and found these new prerolls called Bliss Puff. Aside from the professionally made tin packaging and nifty branding... I was skeptical to try them, seeing that i've been repeatedly disappointed by all the other types of pre-rolls. But I'm so glad I gave these a try because I was delightfully surprised how well made they were, and with the potency that matched their claim. Hats off to CBCB for finding these and keep up the good work Bliss Puff. You've renewed my faith!
Good prices and great staff. Limited parking but definitely worth the trouble! Great glass selection for unbeatable prices as well.
Honestly, you guys are one of my favorite dispensaries, but when i come in to spend more than twenty dollars a gram for hash and i get THE WORST CONTAINER to keep it in, it makes me want to stand out front and warn anyone buying any sort of concentrate.
Plastic absorbs oils and solvents.
the flip top breaks off if the container is dropped.
the containers are brittle
the label covers up the product so i cant see it or see how much is left, resulting in higher usage.
the containers are tall instead of flat, making them easier to knock over, the profile is hard to feeel in pockets and the lid catches on fingers upon retrievaL.
I JUST SPENT 30 DOLLARS OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY, JUST TO SPILL IT ALL ON MY FLOOR BECAUSE WHEN YOU KNOCK THEM OVER, THE LID POPS RIGHT OPEN.
HOW INFURIATING IS THAT? TO BART ALL THE WAY OUT TO BERKLEY JUST TO PAY 30 DOLLARS AND JUST TO COME HOME AND SPILL IT.
sure, its not anyones fault but my own, but ive never had a hash container do that in my entire life. I probably wont be coming back after that. you guys cant value your patients enough to properly and safely package concentrates to where someones kid or dog could pop it open as easy as a tictac package.
in all honesty i love your staff (you were alwys my favorite) and i miss all you guys, but i cant waste my money or time anymore. I'm sorry.
30 dollars and six hours of travel, down the drain.
Hey man, first and foremost I’m really sorry that you had such a negative experience! If you decide to make it back thru here, please email your full name to email@example.com and we’ll be sure you get another $30 gram or equivalent on the house.
As for the containers, I totally appreciate and understand your concerns/feedback. They’re not the best, and usually they’re only used for our cheaper hash. We’ll be reviewing them altogether, but for the time being, I can assure you that hash sold for more than $20/g will be in a screw-top acrylic or pop-top glass container.
At the end of the day though, you didn’t get full use of the product you paid for and that’s never OK. If you have the patience to pay us another visit, we will be sure and make things right.
All the best,
