A recycler is a type of two chambered percolator in a water piece that is designed to filter smoke. Since a recycler works to filter and “recycle” smoke/ vapor, a recycler gives the user a much cleaner and smoother hit. Recyclers also prevent splashback from bong water, by preventing water from getting into the mouthpiece. Smoke also does not go stale because it has less contact with the air, giving the hit a much nicer flavor. Since the smoke stays in contact with the water for longer, the smoke has time to cool down, which allows for maximum filtration.
