West Coast Gastro Pop is a hybrid dried flower from Natural History, a Grape Gas cross with Apples & Bananas. Grape Gas itself comes out of Compound Genetics as a Grape Pie and Jet Fuel Gelato cross, which is where the fruit and fuel tension in this cultivar starts. Natural History is a revived legacy West Coast brand now run by Token Naturals. The nose opens as grape soda, sweet and candied, before the gas underneath asserts itself. Tart apple and lemon rind flash through the middle, and there is a vanilla cookie backdrop that comes from the Gelato side of the family. Caryophyllene and limonene do most of the work on the aroma. The hybrid balance leans relaxed without going fully sedentary, which makes it a late afternoon cultivar more than a nightcap. Buying at this size only makes sense if you already know you like it, so it tends to be a repeat purchase rather than a first try. Natural History runs a curated model, sourcing from selected small batch growers rather than farming itself, and everything is hand harvested, slow cured, and never irradiated.
