Ty Bourne

Born and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, Ty’s life is a testament to resilience and leadership. With expertise in tech, law, and business, Ty has made a lasting impact both locally and globally:

• Supported impoverished youth in South Africa, mentoring and providing resources for their success.

• Helped battered women in shelters, offering support and opportunities to rebuild their lives.

• Organized toy drives, bringing joy to children in need during the holidays.

Despite personal challenges, including being wrongfully detained under New York’s stop-and-frisk policies in the early 2000s, Ty remained steadfast in advocating for justice. He worked with organizations like CAMBA, participated in city council meetings, and championed cannabis legalization in New York. Ty’s vision for Brooklyn Bourne Dispensary is to create a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment for cannabis users.

Kim Green

Growing up in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Bed-Stuy), Kim discovered her passion for helping others at an early age. By 13, she was volunteering at food banks and organizing grants for community programs. At just 14, she negotiated a deal with Odwalla and wrote a grant proposal to secure food for local pantries. Over the years, she:

• Worked with churches and nonprofits to secure funding and organize outreach programs.

• Led food donation drives and supported countless fundraisers.

• Mastered grant writing, a skill she continues to use to benefit underserved communities.

With her professional background as a banker, Kim brings both expertise and compassion to the dispensary. She ensures Brooklyn Bourne Dispensary is not just a business, but a vital part of the neighborhood.
