Big Z began his glass journey in 2003 in Fort Collins, Colorado after attending college at Mesa St. University in Grand Junction, Colorado. He received an associate's degree in Art at Mesa. He tried every medium he could in college, but it was Borosilicate glass that really grabbed his focus, he had found his medium and ran with it. Over the years his style was born, a focus on cosmic spacey creations became his theme and a large audience gravitated towards him. Focusing on making his pieces in the round to get the viewers attention each piece tells a story up to the viewers imagination. " In college and high school I tried every medium I could, but everything I did was for a grade for a teacher. When I found glass blowing I was making things for myself and well the grade was earning a living." Big Z still resides in Fort Collins working in his studio with his close friends and spends his days with his pal Cheese his beloved French bulldog.
