Casual | Skunk Scout | Badder | 1g
Skunk Scout (concentrate) is usually a classic skunky funk + sweet cookie/dough profile with a gassy, earthy backbone. In extract form it tends to be loud, sticky-sweet on the nose, and heavier in vibe.
What it tastes/smells like in concentrate
Most batches lean into:
Skunk / pungent funk up front (old-school “loud”)
Sweet dough / cookie notes (creamy, bakery-like)
Earthy, peppery finish
Often a diesel/gas edge on the exhale
Concentrates often make it feel like sweet cookie + skunk spray, especially in live resin.
Typical effects (general)
Commonly reported:
Deep relaxation
Heavy body feel with a calm, hazy headspace
Often best for evening / night (can get couchy fast)
Who it’s for
Customers who love funky, gassy strains
Anyone asking for a dessert-leaning dab that’s still loud and “stanky”
About this strain: Skunk #1
Skunk #1, also referred to as the Original Skunk #1, is a cultivar created by David Watson -- also known as Sam the Skunkman -- that serves as the genetic backbone for many of today’s cannabis strains.
Sources trace its origins to 1970’s California. It’s present in countless crossbreeds, and is a descendant of an Afghani landrace strain crossed with Acapulco Gold and Colombian Gold.
Refining his crops over many years, Sam the Skunkman selected phenotypes with the best yields, early flowering times and dense, resinous buds. It was one of the first well-known indoor cannabis varieties, and won several awards, including 1st place at the inaugural High Times Cannabis Cup in 1988.
