The Redbud plant or "Cercis Occidentalis" is an Indigenous medicinal plant to Northern California. Redbud provided the indigenous people of the area with medicine and basket fibers. In early spring Redbud is easily identified by its bursts of vivid magenta to rosy and purple flowers.
