Purple Gas is a name given to strains of several origins, and which version you come across tends to depend on where you live. The first and most common version of Purple Gas is a hybrid cross between two iconic strains: indica-dominant Pre-98 Bubba Kush (a specific varietal of Bubba Kush bred in or before 1998) and sativa-dominant Sour Diesel. This version was bred by The Cali Connection, who calls it Purple Diesel.

This Purple Gas is a balanced hybrid with glistening nugs of purple and green and an aroma of citrus and diesel. It has classically uplifting effects — chatty, euphoric, and totally giggly that dwindle off into relaxation as the hours pass.

There is at least one other version of this strain that crosses Romulan with NY Purple Diesel, bred by Next Generation Seeds and there is also a CBD-dominant strain called Purple Gas, a cross between BAOX and Therapy, created by an unknown breeder.
