Product description
To The Moon Sour OG 3.5G Flower: Sativa-Listed Eighth from a Hell's Kitchen Dispensary in Manhattan Sour OG takes its name from its two commonly reported parents, Sour Diesel and OG Kush. The To The Moon Sour OG 3.5G Flower is a single eighth of flower, and you can find it at Cannadreams, our licensed dispensary at 862 9th Ave, on the corner of West 56th Street in Hell's Kitchen. Below: the documented cross, the format, and how to handle a gassy eighth in a New York apartment. The cross behind the name On this one the sources mostly agree. To The Moon's own Leafly listing for its Sour OG gives the genetics as Sour Diesel crossed with OG Kush, and Leafly's strain page says the same. AllBud's entry adds Blueberry, describing a cross of OG Kush, Blueberry and Sour Diesel, so the two-parent version is the commonly reported one. The strain also goes by Sour OG Kush. It is listed as a Sativa on our menu, which is also how To The Moon labels its Sour OG, while Leafly and AllBud both file the strain itself under Hybrid. What the parents bring to the nose To The Moon sums up the flavor in three words: sour, gas, earth. Leafly's top flavors for the strain are diesel, pungent and earthy, and its write-up mentions sour lemon, pine and fuel over a kush base. Leafly traces Sour Diesel to Chemdawg and Super Skunk, with diesel, chemical and skunk as its top flavors, and dates it to the early 1990s. For OG Kush, Leafly says the real thing should smell like lemon, pine and fuel. These are commonly reported notes, not lab readings, so let your own nose have the final word. The eighth itself This is 3.5 grams, one eighth of an ounce, of flower. To The Moon's published listing for Sour OG covers a 14 gram bag of smalls, and packaging details for the eighth are not widely published. Several of the brand's other eighths on our menu come in its black pouch marked Essentials, Everyday Smoke, with a window shaped like a dripping arrow so you can see the buds. Whatever the bag looks like, it carries New York's required label. Keeping the smell in your own apartment Gas-forward strains announce themselves, and in a building with thin walls and a shared hallway, that matters. A zip pouch slows odor down but does not stop it. For real containment, set the closed pouch inside a glass jar with a gasket lid, or move the buds into the jar outright. Brush out the grinder's teeth now and then, because resin holds onto the smell. Keep the jar in a closed cabinet, away from the radiator and the bathroom steam, and out of reach of kids and pets. Stretching 3.5 grams An eighth goes further when you grind only what you are about to use. For a joint, a coarse grind rolls more evenly than dust; for a pipe, break buds by hand into pea-size pieces. If you roll joints the size of To The Moon's own pre-rolls, 0.75 grams each, an eighth makes four with a little left over. Pick out any stems before they tear the paper. Eighth or half ounce? To The Moon also packs Sour OG as a 14 gram bag of smalls, with a built-in Roll-Your-Own Station, according to the brand's Leafly listing. The eighth is the smaller commitment if you are trying the strain for the first time. The half ounce is four eighths' worth of smaller buds for someone who already knows they want this strain in rotation. The crew behind it To The Moon calls New York City home. Leafly's brand information says the street artist Gazoo founded it in 2012, and the brand traces its start to a street movement that blended fashion, art and events before it moved into licensed cannabis. Its Leafly listings also show a New York adult-use processor license. Stopping in Come by whenever we are open; walk-ins are welcome. We sit on the corner of 9th Ave and West 56th, a short walk from Columbus Circle, Times Square and the rest of Midtown West. Order online for in-store pickup if you would rather have it bagged and waiting at the counter. Bought licensed, labeled for real A bodega bag with a strain name written in marker could be anything. Every eighth we sell, Sour OG included, comes through New York's regulated market with state-required lab testing and labeling. A strain name on a licensed, tested product carries more weight than one scrawled on a baggie.
