Product description
MFNY Sour Diesel 1G Live Resin AIO: Hell's Kitchen Dispensary, Manhattan Sour Diesel has a long, murky history, and MFNY's own telling of it runs straight through upstate New York, long before the state had licensed stores. The MFNY Sour Diesel 1G Live Resin AIO is a full gram of that cultivar's live resin in a rechargeable all-in-one, and you can pick it up at Cannadreams, the licensed dispensary at 862 9th Ave on the corner of West 56th Street in Hell's Kitchen. Origins, as far as anyone can say Ask five old-timers where Sour Diesel came from and you will hear five versions. MFNY's account traces it to Chemdog '91 and Mass Super Skunk, possibly with some Northern Lights influence, and credits a man known as Weasel as the originator. MFNY also says it was heavily distributed by a crew of legacy operators in the Albany area, and admits that, given its underground past, accounts of its provenance vary. Major strain databases list the parents more simply as Chemdawg and Super Skunk. So take the lineage as commonly reported, not documented. Sour Diesel is listed as a sativa on our menu, the same type MFNY prints on the pouch. Drop 01 of a series This AIO carries the MFNY Classics name, the brand's series of what it calls foundational cultivars. Sour Diesel was the first release, followed by Chemdog, Shishkaberry and UK Cheese. MFNY frames the series as preserving, restoring and respecting those plants through careful sourcing and patience. The word Classics sits right under the strain name on the pouch. The nose, as the growers describe it MFNY describes deep diesel fuel and skunk on the palate, eventually giving way to what it calls a sour cream exhale, and says the nose has been known to fill a room. Strain databases list diesel, chemical and skunk as the main flavors, and a grapefruit note turns up in user reviews. Those are the commonly reported notes. If you want candy or fruit, look elsewhere on the shelf; if gas is what you are after, this one is built around it. One farm, start to finish MFNY is short for Marijuana Farms New York, a licensed cultivator and processor with its farm in the Hudson Valley, roughly 60 miles north of New York City. The company calls itself seed-to-shelf and single-source: it grows the plants, starts its live resin from fresh-frozen flower, and runs its own hydrocarbon extraction, so no outside grower or processor sits in between. MFNY says its live resin carries no distillate and no added flavor, and the pouch ingredient line reads cannabis and cannabis live resin. The hardware, and why it matters here With a strain like this, the sharp fuel notes are the whole point. MFNY built this AIO with the hardware company ACTIVE and picked a wide-bore zirconia ceramic heater, which it says does not mute the oil's bright top notes the way lower-grade ceramics can. The battery output is tuned to the viscosity of MFNY's oil, so there is nothing to adjust and no voltage to guess at, unlike a 510 cart on a separate battery. It is a single piece that recharges by USB-C. MFNY also says this form factor is exclusive to it in New York until 2027. January in Midtown Cold weather is hard on a lot of vape hardware. MFNY says its Dynamic Airflow uses two air paths so draws stay smooth and even in cold weather, but you can help it along. Carry the AIO in an inside pocket, not the outer pocket of a coat at a January bus stop, and give it a few minutes at room temperature after you come in from outside. Keep each pull short. One reminder: New York's smoking rules cover vaping too, so the subway is off limits. Stopping by after a show Walk-ins are welcome. We sit a short walk from the Theater District and Times Square, so it is easy to swing over after a show on 8th Ave. You can also order online for in-store pickup and collect it at the counter with your ID. Why the name alone proves nothing Plenty of unlicensed shops around the city sell something with Sour Diesel on the label. A strain name is the easiest thing to put on a sticker. Ours comes through New York's regulated market with state-required lab testing and labeling, so the producer and cultivar on this pouch can be traced. Storing a full gram Keep the device upright and at room temperature, well away from steam heat and sunny windows. As with most rechargeable gadgets, top it up by USB-C before the battery runs all the way down. When you are done for the day, put it back in its pouch and somewhere children and pets cannot get to it.
