BOUKET | Pink Riot | 7G Flower

Bouket Pink Riot 7G Flower: Sativa-Listed Quarter in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan Pink Riot is a loud name for a bag of flower, and Bouket clearly picked it on purpose. The Bouket Pink Riot 7G Flower is a quarter ounce, listed as Sativa on our menu, and it is on the shelf at Cannadreams, 862 9th Ave on the corner of West 56th Street in Hell's Kitchen. If you roll your own, start here A quarter ounce is the size we most often recommend to people who roll their own joints. Seven grams is enough to settle into a routine without the flower sitting around for months. Here is how the math works with common paper sizes. A 1 1/4 paper comfortably holds around half a gram to three quarters of a gram. A king size paper holds closer to a full gram. So a 7 gram bag gives you roughly ten to fourteen 1 1/4 joints, or about seven king size. If you mostly use a small pipe, it lasts a lot longer than that. Getting a good roll from whole flower Break buds apart by hand first and pull out any stems, which can poke through paper. Grind to a medium consistency: too fine and the joint packs tight and draws hard, too coarse and it burns unevenly. Use a crutch or filter tip; it makes the joint easier to hold and keeps flower out of your mouth. Pack evenly from end to end, twist the top, and let the joint sit a minute before you light it. A rolling tray keeps the coffee table clean, which matters in a one-room apartment. What is known about Pink Riot Not much, publicly. Pink Riot does not appear in the major strain databases, and Bouket does not publish its parentage, so the lineage is not widely published. We are not going to guess. The menu listing, Sativa, is the classification we can stand behind. For aroma and appearance, open the bag at home or ask at the counter about seeing a display sample of the brand's flower. The Bouket backstory Bouket is a New York brand built around a piece of uptown history. The company says that back in Prohibition-era Harlem, jazz musicians and their crowd used "bouquet" as a code word for cannabis, and the brand adopted a spelling of that word. Bouket calls itself minority-owned and grounded in New York's cannabis culture, with the tagline "Give yourself your flowers." It sells flower in several sizes along with joints and mini preroll packs. Quarter or eighth? Bouket also sells Pink Riot as an eighth, so which is right for you? If you have never tried the strain, an eighth is the lower-commitment way in. If you already know you like it, or you roll often enough to finish seven grams in a few weeks, the quarter means fewer trips and one consistent batch. Ask at the counter which sizes are on hand that day. Storing seven grams in a city apartment Transfer the flower from the bag to an airtight glass jar once you get home. Keep the jar in a dark spot, away from the stove and radiator and off any windowsill that gets afternoon sun. Avoid the fridge; condensation forms when cold flower meets warm air. In a dry winter apartment, a two-way humidity pack in the jar keeps buds from turning brittle. Open the jar only when you need to.
