Bouket Foam & Fumes 7G Flower: Indica Quarter at a Hell's Kitchen Dispensary In New York cannabis slang, "fumes" and "gas" usually describe a sharp, fuel-like aroma, the kind that fills a hallway the second a jar opens. Bouket's Foam & Fumes plays on that idea in its name. The Bouket Foam & Fumes 7G Flower is a quarter ounce, listed as Indica on our menu, and it is available at Cannadreams, 862 9th Ave on the corner of West 56th Street in Hell's Kitchen. About that name Strain names are marketing as much as botany. A name with "fumes" in it suggests the grower is pointing you toward a gassy, pungent aroma, while "foam" might nod to something softer. We cannot confirm either from published sources. Foam & Fumes does not appear in the major strain databases, and Bouket does not publish its parents, so the lineage is not widely published. The menu listing of Indica is the one classification we can give you. Bouket's roots The brand behind this bag is a New York company whose name comes from a bit of jazz-age Harlem history. Bouket says that during Prohibition, "bouquet" was what people in the uptown club scene called cannabis when they did not want to say it outright. The company describes itself as minority-owned and rooted in the city's cannabis story. Its tagline is "Give yourself your flowers." It sells flower, single joints and packs of mini prerolls. Keeping a pungent quarter discreet A pungent strain in a city apartment calls for some planning. Thin walls, shared hallways and nosy neighbors are part of Manhattan life. Store the flower in an airtight glass jar, not the bag it came in, once you are home. For extra containment, put the jar inside a smell-proof pouch or a lidded box. When you grind, do it in one sitting and close everything right after. If you carry flower around the city, use a sealed, labeled container and remember that New York permits possession but restricts where you can consume. Picking a grinder Your grinder matters more with a quarter than with a single eighth, because you will use it a lot. A few pointers: aluminum grinders with sharp teeth last longer than flimsy plastic ones. Four-piece models with a screen give a more even grind and collect kief in the bottom chamber. A two-piece grinder is simpler and easier to clean. Whatever you use, do not overfill it; packing too much in at once gives you uneven chunks. Clean it with a dry brush every week or two. The quarter ounce explained Seven grams is one quarter of an ounce, the same as two eighths. Roll it into 1 gram joints and you get about seven; use a small pipe and it goes further. A quarter is a sensible size for someone who already knows the brand or the strain style and does not want to come back every few days. Moisture, heat and light Humidity control is the main issue with any quarter in New York. In winter, steam heat dries flower out until it crumbles. In summer, humid air can leave it spongy. A two-way humidity pack in the jar helps in both seasons. Keep the jar out of sunlight and away from radiators and the stove. Do not use the refrigerator.
