Alien Labs | Misfits Gemini | 14G Flower

Alien Labs Misfits Gemini 14G Flower: Half Ounce Indica Near Times Square and Columbus Circle Gemini is one of the newer Alien Labs names, and the Alien Labs Misfits Gemini 14G Flower puts half an ounce of it in a single Misfits bag. Pick it up at Cannadreams, a licensed adult-use dispensary at 862 9th Ave on the corner of West 56th Street in Hell's Kitchen. Our menu lists Gemini as an indica. Gemini's reported parents Gemini is commonly reported as a cross of 2Face OG and Area 41, which strain databases such as Leafly describe as an OG-based hybrid. Alien Labs itself has been quiet about the details of many recent releases, so take the pairing as widely reported rather than officially confirmed. Area 41 is a name that turns up in a number of Alien Labs crosses, which fits the brand's habit of building new strains from its own keepers. Aroma descriptions vary from batch to batch; open the bag and judge for yourself. The company behind the bag Ted Lidie founded Alien Labs in California, and it operates next to its sister brand, Connected. The brand made its name with indoor flower and an in-house breeding program that pops large numbers of seeds and keeps only a few plants. New York law does not allow cannabis to cross state lines, so the Alien Labs products sold here are grown and packaged in state by a licensed producer, whose name you will find on the label. How to read a Misfits bag before you buy The New York Misfits bag is black, carries the Alien Labs name, and has a round orange MISFITS sticker plus a printed weight of 14G (0.5oz). It does not say Gemini anywhere on the front. The strain appears only on the state compliance label. Before you pay, check three things on that label: the strain line reads Gemini, the packaging date is one you are comfortable with, and the bag is sealed. We will happily hold two bags side by side so you can compare dates. Fourteen grams of joints A lot of half-ounce buyers roll. Here is the math: fourteen grams is roughly fourteen one gram joints, or closer to twenty if you roll smaller. OG-leaning flower is often dense and resinous, so a decent grinder helps. Break larger buds by hand first, grind to a medium consistency, and roll right after grinding rather than prepping a week's worth at once. Joints rolled days ahead dry out faster than whole flower in a closed jar. Carrying it around the city New York lets adults 21 and over possess up to three ounces, according to the state Office of Cannabis Management, so a half ounce is well within the limit. Still, use common sense. Keep it in its sealed bag or an airtight container when you are on the subway or headed to work, so the smell stays put. Do not consume anywhere smoking is banned, and never in a car. Long-term storage at home Bags are made to get the flower from the store to your place, not to hold it for a month. Once you are home, move the buds into a glass jar that closes tightly, and keep it in a dark cupboard. Thin walls and shared hallways are a good reason to keep that jar sealed between uses. Steam heat in winter dries flower quickly, so a two-way humidity pack is worth adding. Keep it away from heat sources, windows and the fridge. Bag versus the brand's jars Alien Labs in New York also sells flower in jars. The flower in a jar sits loose and protected; flower in a bag can compress a bit during transport and handling. That is normal, and it does not change what the strain is. The practical difference is the amount: one Misfits bag holds as much as four eighth jars. Walk-ins and online pickup Our door is open to walk-ins at 862 9th Ave, near Times Square, the Theater District and Central Park South. Prefer to plan ahead? Order online for in-store pickup and the bag will be ready at the counter. Bring a valid ID. Why buy from a licensed store Smoke shops and bodegas selling cannabis without a license are not part of the legal market, and their products have no state testing behind them. Everything at Cannadreams comes through New York's regulated market with state-required lab testing and labeling.
