Despite personal challenges, including being wrongfully detained under New York's stop-and-frisk policies in the early 2000s, Ty remained steadfast in advocating for justice. Kim Green

Growing up in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Bed-Stuy), Kim discovered her passion for helping others at an early age. By 13, she was volunteering at food banks and organizing grants for community programs.
