Gelato Punch is a slightly indica dominant hybrid strain (60% indica/40% sativa or 70% indica/30% sativa) created through crossing the delicious Purple Punch X Gelato 33 strains. This celebrity child boasts a delicious flavor and a one-two punch of soothing, calming effects that will help you really settle down and relax before getting to sleep. Much like its parent strains, Gelato Punch has a super sweet and sugary fruity berry flavor with touches of sour citrus and cream. The aroma is sour and citrusy with a punch of spicy diesel and peppery grapes. The Gelato Punch will slam into your face a few minutes after your final exhale, punching you with a one-two hit of happiness and calm. You'll find your mind infused with a sense of bliss as your body slowly drops off into a heavy physical buzzing state of pure relaxation and ease. This combination can quickly turn sedative, so be ready for a nice, long nap with this bud! Thanks to these effects and its high 20% + average THC level, Gelato Punch is often chosen to treat conditions such as insomnia, chronic pain, appetite loss or nausea and chronic stress. Gelato Punch buds have small and rounded, super dense olive green nugs with deep purple undertones, bright yellow-orange hairs and frosty vividly purple crystal trichomes.

Gelato is a cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, named in homage to its sweet aroma. Also known as Larry Bird, Gelato (#33) was first cultivated in Northern California's Bay Area and is derived from a deep bank of genetics created by the Cookie Family, the Sherbinskis family, and cultivator Mario Guzman.

The cultivators parted ways following its creation, and the cultivator who possesses the most “stable version” of Gelato genetics is up for debate. Cookies cultivates a few phenotypes and descendants of the strain named Gelato #42, Dolce Gelato, and a sun-grown Gelato. Sherbinskis grows four stabilized Gelato phenotypes in its rotation as well: Gelato #41 (Bacio Gelato), Gelato #43 (Gello Gelato), Gelato #47 (Mochi Gelato), and Gelato #49 (Acai Berry Gelato). Per Sherbinskis, the #33 phenotype is no longer in cultivation.
