Trainwreck being a very high potent hybrid dominant flower is crossed with Mexican and Thai strains of sativa-dominance while also mixed with Afghani indicas! This makes for a very interesting and quite awesome combo! This bud smokes well, tastes pretty good, and has no big stems, seeds or any sort of yucky taste from anything like that. There are crystals and trichomes that pop out of the buds that you can see better with a microscope than in this picture. The quality of this Trainwreck is not of the same quality that our patients are used to with our primo flower line always being filled with fire buds, so do know that this certain strain is of a lower tier but it was grown indoors and by reputable growers and I don't think you'll be dissatisfied by paying less for some bud that's not as fire as the rest, right? Great for Christmas time if you're pinching pennies and just need an oz to get you thru the month and this could be a way to save for you! Anyone that just needs some flower to make some edibles, this could work for you, also, this flower really is decent, pretty dense, moist and did the trick for us when we tried it and I suggest it to anyone that likes sativa and wants to try out a hybrid. Trainwreck is a cultivar with mysterious origins, most particularly about the meaning behind its name. Legend has it Trainwreck was so named because the original cut grew on a hill the same summer there was a train crash in the Humboldt region. Other sources claim the strain was named for the immediate slam of mental invigoration it had on users, which hit the mind like a runaway train.
According to the Seedsman blog, Trainwreck first emerged sometime in the 1980s from the Emerald Triangle region of Northern California. Trainwreck itself is thought to be a cross of several landrace strains, namely a Mexican Sativa, Thai Sativa, and Afghani Indica.
Lab tests show Trainwreck with high levels of the terpenes terpinolene, myrcene, and limonene, all of which contribute to its reported lemon and pine aroma. Consumers can point to its limonene content and moderate 14%-18% THC content for Trainwreck’s energy-inducing effects.
