Blue Moonshine is a heavily indica strain bred by the legendary DJ Short, the same breeder behind the original Blueberry, created by crossing Thai Sativa with a strong Afghani indica back in the 80s and 90s before being refined into the cultivar known today. The buds grow short to medium in size and are dense and frosty with a thick coat of shimmering trichomes, instantly recognizable by their distinctive fermented aroma. True to its name the strain leads with a pungent sweet blueberry and berry scent layered with a funky fermented moonshine note and earthy floral undertones that make the mouth water before the first hit. The high comes on slowly and warmly, making you feel fuzzy and happy all over much like the drink it was named after, opening with a focused and social headspace that lets you stay engaged before a heavy, floaty body stone takes over and steadily melts into a relaxing, daze-like calm.
