Colorado-based Bloom Seed Co. created Black Maple, a balanced hybrid strain, by crossing Dulce de Uva (also from Bloom Seed Co.) and Sherbanger. This hybrid is aromatic, with a complex mix of scents from its robust terpene profile. There are notes of maple, as you’d expect, but it doesn’t dominate the scent profile as its name would suggest.
Instead, it mixes notes of vanilla, diesel, sandalwood, pine, and funkiness. Some consumers have noted a hint of grape, likely from the parent strain Dulce de Uva (Spanish for “grape candy”). The flavor is similarly complex, with strong notes of pepper, gas, vanilla, and woodiness. Black Maple has large, dark-colored nugs that sparkle with a generous layer of resin, hinting at this strain’s potency.
