Strain: Our Runtz Cultivar is a mysterious well-balanced hybrid. Rumor has it that our Phenotype (variant) is the Zkittlex - Gelato cross. This cross produced a progeny with a uniquely complete and mouthwateringly powerful profile. The profile is reminiscent of your local Farmer’s Market fresh fruit stand. There are hints of grape, strawberry, cherry coupled with various citrus undertones like that of Grape Fruit that will tickle your pallet. To top it off, there is a sublimely sweet sugar cane aroma to it. This is one of those varieties that tastes as juicy sweet as it looks and smells.

They are also part of a consortium with the International Phytomedicines Institute at Harvard University, working to expand research and disseminate information on the Health benefits of cannabis on a wide range of medical conditions including chronic pain, mental, and cognitive issues. Primitiv is active in the Homegrown Detroit equity program and serve as advisors for the Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform.
Primitiv’s flagship dispensary is located at 1286 S. 11th St. in Niles, Michigan, and occupies the space formerly known as Billiard Garden. All guests must be at least 21 years old and have proper identification. Primitiv offers a variety of its coveted pre-rolls and 3.5 gram packages of flower, grown in the group’s Webberville facility, along with other popular brands grown throughout Michigan. Coming out of LA, this strain's candy-like smelling sweetness and colorful nugs lead to its naming. A mix of Zkittlez and Gelato #33, this strain has a smooth flavor that mostly matches the smell, with additional tropical and earthy hints. Runtz is similar to Shark Cake (aka Sharklato), a phenotype of Zkittlez and Gelato that is so popular that it has its own name.
With a few different phenotypes, this hybrid strain can lean to either a more dominant sativa or indica. These nugs produce thick resin layers, making it extremely potent in any form. Perhaps that is why this strain is so elusive.
