ADL RTZ, also sold as ADL Runtz, is a Runtz-family hybrid tracing back to a pairing of ADL, short for Amaretto Di Limon, with Runtz itself. Amaretto Di Limon is widely attributed to a Lemon Cherry Gelato #7 selection, which explains the fruit-forward character fans of the strain keep pointing to and half-explains why the name reads like a dessert menu that got out of hand.

Snap open a nug and the aroma leads with ripe berry and bright lemon, backed by a gassy, earthy undertone that carries straight into the flavor. There's a tropical sweetness in there too — the kind that lingers on the exhale without ever tipping into artificial candy territory. It smells like something that shouldn't work and does anyway.

Type classification is genuinely a mess across cultivators: some batches test sativa-leaning, others indica-dominant, others balanced 50/50. Ask three dispensaries what ADL RTZ "is" and expect three different answers, all correct depending on whose plant you're holding. The flower itself is consistent, though — dense, resin-heavy buds coated in trichomes and frequently tinged with purple against deep green. It reads exotic before it's even lit, and the frost does most of the marketing for you.
