Lineage: African Landrace (Sativa) Profile: Spices, Tropical, and Citrus Dominant Terpenes: Myrcene, Pinene, and Ocimene Red Congolese or 'Red Congo' is a rare landrace-influenced sativa with roots in Central Africa, often believed to be a cross between African sativa, Afghani, and Mexican indica genetics. This strain made waves in the early 2000s with its vibrant, red-tinged buds and electric, clear-headed high. Red Congo brought landrace energy into the Y2K era-bold, bright, and built for focus.

A tribute to the strains, stories, and spirit that shaped cannabis culture, revived for a new generation. NOSTALGIA exists to bring back what made cannabis special in the first place: the culture, the community, the connection.

Every strain tells a story, each one carefully selected to revive the legends that shaped the scene. We blend the roots of cannabis history with today’s most advanced cultivation to create something that feels both familiar and new. Nostalgia celebrates the moments that made us fall in love with cannabis, the laughter, the creativity, the calm. It’s a bridge between generations, where heritage meets innovation and the past still has a place in the present.

Red Congolese
hybrid

This 100% pure sativa strain won 3rd place in 2013 for overall best at the High Times’ Cannabis Cup. Red Congolese offers moderate THC levels (averaging 18% to 20%) and can deliver tingling, elated sensations.

Though the name evokes African origins, Red Congolese originated in California from a blend of Mexican and Afghan roots. Perhaps these global origins lend Red Congolese its decidedly earthy flavor profile. Red Congolese is sometimes mistaken for Congolese Red by SnowHigh Seeds, but the two strains are distinct.
