MattyB started his journey in 2008 as a caregiver in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Michigan in 2010 to dive into the state’s thriving caregiver market. With a passion for clean, effective medicine, he quickly made a name for himself as both a grower and solventless pioneer. By 2016, Matty worked closely with extractors, learning from legends through online forums and pushing the envelope with pheno hunting and seed popping—seeking out genetics that not only thrived in commercial cultivation but performed well in the wash. He refused to rely on circulated genetics and instead hunted down the best, cleanest expressions for solventless production.

Driven by a consumer-first mindset and an uncompromising standard of quality, MattyB racked up 10+ wins through the years, including 1st place for Peanut Butter Breath flower at the 2019 High Times Cannabis Cup, 2nd place with OGKB 2.0 and 3rd place for his Cookies & Cream in the solventless category. He’s collabed and provided frozen and flower to some of the top names in the game—Michigan Made Melts, Element, Superior Solventless, Eastside Alchemy, Known, Lambchop Melts, Select Pheno, and more. After years of dropping elite product that sold out on arrival, MattyB is finally launching under his own name, bringing his legacy expertise and flavor-rich genetics to the people.
