King Weedy Cannabis was formed in 2010 in Washington DC. King Weedy was trying to get a Cultivation Center license through attorney Montgomery Blair Howard. That attempt failed.
In 2015, when DC legalized cannabis through I-71, King Weedy originated the retail gifting concept and opened the first cannabis gifting shop in Adams
Morgan in Washington Dc in February 2016.
At that point we were selling grow supplies, gifting clones and growing cannabis in Wash Hydro in Adams Morgan. As 2016 progressed King weedy started selling t-shirts and offered a free souvenir gift with the purchase. We grew to 3 retail stores, our own custom life style products, King Collective lounge, 10 DC grow houses growing cannabis under I-71 and King Weedy Mansion for hosting cannabis events in Washington DC.
On 8/30/2021 King Weedy was raided by federal officials on numerous alleged federal charges and all of our cannabis businesses were closed. We disputed the alleged
charges and the case was settled in 2023. No individual or employee was ever charged with a crime however it came with a steep price!
In 2023 we began applying for licenses for a dispensary, delivery service, cultivation center and safe use treatment facility in DC.
On 5/17/2024 Wash Hydro Medical Cannabis Dispensary opened, A few months later the delivery service began operation on 11/26/2024 the cultivation center opened and our first crop in 3 years was planted. Currently the safe use treatment facility is set to open in the spring of 2025.
That’s our story, and we are happy to serve the DC cannabis community, its citizens and visitors to Washington DC.

GSC, which was originally known as the Girl Scout Cookies strain, was first bred by Northern California's Cookie Family sometime about 2012. A Sativa-leaning hybrid cross between a cutting of OG Kush and the breeder’s own F1 Durban Poison strain, GSC produces a plant with multiple branches and a powerful flower.
The strain has a short stature that is common on strains with Indica lineage and is known for its tight internodal structure, which creates its iconic spear-shaped flowers with lavender calyxes. The most popular phenotype produced by the first batch of GSC seeds was Thin Mints.
GSC has taken home several High Times Cannabis Cup awards since it was first propagated — including a first-place trophy for Best Hybrid at the 2013 Southern California Cannabis Cup.
