The top cola typically develops as a 1–2 nodal structure with a loose disconnect beneath. This strain will often require extra support in late flower. In flower, Purple Milk demonstrates significant stretch, often tripling in size, with both high vertical and lateral growth that results in a bushy mid-canopy.
