Breeder: Sensi Seeds - Northern Lights #5 x Shiva Skunk - Sativa Dominant - 9-10 weeks - Difficulty: difficult - Yield: heavy - Grow Type: indoor, light dep, outdoor - Jack Herer is a sativa dominant strain that smells like haze, lemons, and piney. This strain forms a 5+ nodal top cola with tons of secondary branching that form 2-4 nodal connected mini colas beneath with golf ball sized buds. The buds have a moderate density with a low leaf to calyx ratio and long restacked calyx’s. The buds have high trichome production, and are golf ball sized with light green hues and orange pistils. This strain will triple in size in flower and has high lateral and vertical growth. Due to Jack's open branch style structure she has a moderately dense canopy that you can easily see through. This is a more hands on strain to maintain in terms of pruning and defoliation. Her fan leaves are small and there is a lot of them making defolition a time consuming task. Her branches have little sturdiness and need a lot of extra support. This strain has a high demand for nutrients and is a very heavy feeder. Overall it is a more difficult strain to grow, but it will do well in any style of grow.

Jack Herer
hybrid

Named after the late, legendary cannabis activist and author of the 1985 book “The Emperor Wears No Clothes,” Jack Herer has achieved a lofty, heavily proliferated status among modern cannabis strains. Its flavor is reportedly a composite of citrus, pine, wood and spice.

This creation from Dutch seed bank Sensi Seeds won 9 first-place High Times Cannabis Cup awards, and is a frequently used parent strain for new hybrids.

Its lineage remains unconfirmed, but it’s generally thought to be a complex hybrid of Northern Lights #5, Shiva Skunk and Haze.
