Ghost OG
This citrus-forward expression of OG Kush contains all the classic attributes and potent effects of OG. Once a cutting of Josh's original OG Kush, this varietal began expressing different characteristics from its parent plant when folks began growing it in the Pacific Northwest. Two decades of growing it up north using different cultivation techniques resulted in what is commonly believed to be epigenetic changes (that is, changes to the way the plant expresses its genes, rather than direct alteration of its DNA). Ghost eventually developed slightly larger buds and started exhibited a more euphoric effect than its sister strain. The name comes from Josh's friend, Ghost, who gave the transformed cutting back to Josh when they were introduced just a few years ago.

Ghost OG is a combination of a female Ghost OG (a confusingly named phenotype of OG Kush) pollinated by Joe’s OG Kush, first bred by the team at Apothecary Genetics. The original Ghost OG is thought to be a true Kush strain from the Kush mountain range, named such because a breeder from the OverGrow.com forums with the username OrgnKid gave a cut of the strain to another breeder named Ghost.
The cultivar from Apothecary Genetics was backcrossed with OG Kush strains to create seeds and strengthen its genetics, but the original version is clone only.
