Pheno Hunt jars contain small-batch releases of “recipe testing”
using the variety of seeds we have generated and collected over
the last decade. One of those reserved seeds could have the
potential to be that new magical strain everyone is always
wishing for… We test a lot of seeds and most don't make the cut.
We think the IC Collective strain library hits hard, and it is a
challenge for a new genetic to join the roster - adding a strain
into the market rotation takes many months or even years. The
process includes making the seeds, growing the seeds, and then
selecting the best plants by observing which cultivars have
positive and unique traits that will also meet the requirements
and demands of a commercial cultivation business. We might grow
the plant three times before it is ready to be trialed
under the Pheno Hunt label.
The Pheno Hunt jar allows us to package and trial flowers on the
market that have not yet been named. To be named, the plant
genetic must be successful in multiple grow cycles and be enjoyed
by our valued customers. When a plant checks all the
“good weed” boxes, grows well in a commercial cultivation
environment, and is successful in the market, The Strain is ready
to be given a name and a unique artwork that matches the vibe of
the high. it can then be added to the IC Collective strain catalog.
