Runtz has been one of the most sought-after strains since it was created in LA – and it remains a very LA-centric strain. Hugely hyped because of its incredible terp profile, which comes from its two terp-rockstar parents -- Zkittles and Gelato. Can be a difficult strain to grow, but when Runtz plants get what they need, like this batch did, they reward you with amazing buds and flavors. The most outstanding thing is the truly unique, super-grape-y, fruit-salad, candy-like sweet flavor and aroma, so sugary it smells and tastes more like candy than weed.

A mix of Zkittlez and Gelato #33, this strain has a smooth flavor that mostly matches the smell, with additional tropical and earthy hints. Runtz is similar to Shark Cake (aka Sharklato), a phenotype of Zkittlez and Gelato that is so popular that it has its own name.
With a few different phenotypes, this hybrid strain can lean to either a more dominant sativa or indica. These nugs produce thick resin layers, making it extremely potent in any form. Perhaps that is why this strain is so elusive.
