This variety is from San Fernando, California, and it is the main base of many other modern strains. Our starting point was the clone that triumphed in the `90’s: “SFV OG”, an absolute legend in the Cali scene. SFV OG is the first choice for those lovers of hashish because of its heavy resin content, which also makes a thick, very tasty smoke. This plant is great for all types of extractions due to its production and quality. Its flowers are compact and long, and its leaves wide in typical indica fashion. The aroma of the SFV OG is magnificent with subtle tones of earth, pine, and gasoline; its taste is like hash and soil. For a long time, this variety has occupied first place in many clubs and dispensaries. It’s a true classic.

SFV OG resists botrytis fairly well and due to this one can cultivate it in exterior with good or even great results.

SFV OG
hybrid
THC: 9.5-19%

SFV OG - or San Fernando Valley OG - began as a phenotype of OG Kush. A grower named Swerve at Cali Connection Farms in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley bred it with an Afghani from Homegrown Fantaseeds. The resulting strain takes its initials from its parent strain, as well as the abbreviated location of its seed bank.

Breeders created the strain after selecting OG Kush for its earthy, lemony smell and sedating properties, which are the result of high levels of myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene.

The strain took 3rd place in the Indica category at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2012, and 1st place at the Denver Cannabis Cup that same year.
