Our Story: 

Galaxy Labs, LLC was founded in 2020 by a husband-and-wife team. Galaxy Labs, LLC is the first Independent/Social Equity Craft Grower to go live in Illinois. Our owners are from Illinois and grew up in impacted areas and have overcome many challenges. Over 96% of Galaxy is owned by Minorities & Women (82.50% Black; 51% Veteran-owned, 33.25% Women and 11% Hispanic). The Galaxy Team is committed to community and economic development as well as being examples of how social equity inclusion can be a win for everyone!!!Galaxy Labs is committed to positively engaging with the community including specifically the underserved and disproportionately impacted areas most affected by the war on drugs. This includes targeted hiring events, job training, educational seminars, charitable donations, and philanthropy.

Our Community Involvement:

Galaxy Labs is actively engaged with several local community colleges within the area including Olive-Harvey College’s cannabis studies program. As part of these engagements, Galaxy offers program and curriculum advisory support, donation of various supplies and equipment, offering presentations on industry topics, and direct engagement through hands on learning sessions with the students.

As part of the greater effort of community involvement, Galaxy Labs is also assisting in the development of the community including the formation and continued support of community sponsored agriculture programs. Galaxy’s staff will also participate in community service events where time and resource can be given to help assist in bettering the community.

Our State of the Art Facility:

Even as a start-up craft grow business, Galaxy has not cut corners in establishing an advanced Galaxy Labs facility with cutting-edge equipment and technology. Galaxy Labs cultivates high-quality craft cannabis with proprietary and bespoke genetics at their state-of-the-art controlled environment indoor facility.

Galaxy’s facility also hosts the most sophisticated racking technology available. The investment made by Galaxy to establish its new facility in Richton Park’s town center was substantial and comes during a time of both enhanced development activity in the Village as well as intentional planning for the community’s future. The craft cannabis facility will result in over 45 new jobs. .
