Purple Rain
hybrid

Purple Rain (also spelled Purple Raine) is a threeway cross of OG Kush, Chemdawg and Purple Candy Kush developed by Taylor Lane Farms. Appropriately, the strain's deep purple hues broken up by splashes of green and amber conjure up images of power ballads sung on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. This richness of color and the denseness of nugs helps this strain stand out on the shelf. On the nose, notes of berries, candy, grape, and pine carry over to the palate where the fruit-forward flavors persist. At 18-20% THC, this is a moderate potency strain.

Alternately, Purple Rain refers to an Indica-dominant cultivar created by Smoke A Lot Seeds. This version also features dense purple nugs but is a cross between Pakistan Chitral Kush/China Yunnan and Godzilla Grape. With flavors reminiscent of lemon ice tea, berries, and grapes, this strain provides a relaxing and sedative experience. THC levels average at around 19%.
