Skunk #1
Skunk #1 is a slightly Indica dominant hybrid, 65% Indica, 35% Sativa strain created as a cross of South and Central American landrace X Thai X Afghan native landrace. Skunk #1 has a classic skunky sweet flavor with hints of woody spices on each smooth exhale. The smell is very sour and skunky with a touch of earthy pine and rich florals as the nugs are burned. This classic combination creates a relaxing and uplifting high that hits both mind and body with mellow yet long-lasting effects. The high starts with a euphoric onset that you feel cerebrally first before spreading throughout your entire body with mild tingly energy. As your happiness builds, a deep relaxation will wash over you, soothing away aches and pains without leaving you feeling sedated or weighed down. This state will spread through your mind as well, leaving you a little spacey but still functional. Skunk #1 is often chosen to treat conditions such as chronic pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Skunk #1, also referred to as the Original Skunk #1, is a cultivar created by David Watson -- also known as Sam the Skunkman -- that serves as the genetic backbone for many of today’s cannabis strains.
Sources trace its origins to 1970’s California. It’s present in countless crossbreeds, and is a descendant of an Afghani landrace strain crossed with Acapulco Gold and Colombian Gold.
Refining his crops over many years, Sam the Skunkman selected phenotypes with the best yields, early flowering times and dense, resinous buds. It was one of the first well-known indoor cannabis varieties, and won several awards, including 1st place at the inaugural High Times Cannabis Cup in 1988.
