We created Breez in 2015 when my grandfather was struggling with the side-effects of aggressive cancer treatment. I spent weeks failing to convince him to try cannabis for relief; no matter what study, article, or statistic I shared, he refused. On our last night together he told me, “I know you’re right. I know cannabis will help me. But I just can’t do it.” He had his reasons. I left heartbroken. I called my partner Anna from the road home - we realized my grandfather needed to overcome the stigma and misunderstandings leftover from prohibition - he needed a product that was simple, reliable and above all accessible.
