E85 is a potent, balanced hybrid bred by Grandiflora Genetics out of Oakland, California, and popularized in partnership with Cookies. Grandiflora specializes in exotic genetics and this strain is no different — released in small batches that sell quickly. Its potency and rarity have created a highly sought-after reputation.
Grandiflora has kept the exact origins of this strain under wraps, but it's generally thought to be the result of Super Lemon Cherry Gelato x Runtz (although Wedding Cake x Project 4516 are also commonly listed as the parent strains). E85 has a strong aroma of sugary desserts mixed with ripe fruits and a hint of gas, and consumers often report a sweet taste in the flower itself. The potency of this strain delivers rapid results and new smokers should proceed with caution. E85 nugs are dense, dark green with red-orange pistils and a thick layer of trichomes.
