It is considered one of the top three most effective mint plants to act as an insecticide. Peppermint candies are another source of pulegone, as are certain other members of the mint family, including the pennyroyal and creeping Charlie plants. Perfumes and aromatherapy products with a cool, fresh scent may also incorporate pulegone into their formulas. The terpene has been as a brew for tea and to flavor alcoholic beverages and baked goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wm-article-table-of-contents-header\" id=\"therapeutic-properties-of-pulegone\">\n\tTherapeutic properties of pulegone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a component of pennyroyal oil, pulegone has been used to treat a host of conditions, including indigestion, menstrual conditions, common colds, headaches, and convulsions.
