Mark Gordon signed into law. It legalized hemp and gave the Department of Agriculture authority over its production and regulation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the signing of HB0171, the Department of Agriculture submitted its plan for regulating hemp in the state to the US Department of Agriculture. The act formally removed hemp-derived CBD from Wyoming's list of controlled substances.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There have been at least two attempts to place marijuana legalization on the state ballot, including an effort to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/county17.com\/2018\/09\/21\/marijuana-and-the-cowboy-state-will-the-law-change\/\" target=\"_blank\">get it in front of voters in 2018<\/a>. But advocates failed to gather enough signatures to qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wm-article-table-of-contents-header\" id=\"frequently-asked-questions\">\n\tFrequently asked questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Is CBD oil legal in Wyoming?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, <a href=\"https:\/\/weedmaps.com\/learn\/cbd\/is-cbd-oil-legal-in-wyoming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">CBD oil is legal in Wyoming<\/a>. However, the sale, possession, and use of CBD oil that contains more than 0.3% THC by weight remains illegal in Wyoming. As long as CBD products have less than 0.3% THC, Wyoming residents can <a href=\"https:\/\/weedmaps.com\/brands\/category\/cbd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">legally purchase CBD online<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/news.weedmaps.com\/2019\/06\/u-s-postal-service-confirms-you-can-legally-mail-hemp-cbd-products\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">have it mailed to them<\/a>.
